The first step in generating actual revenue from a LinkedIn post is by creating content worth sharing and worth reading for your target audience.
The goal is not only to get a lot of likes & comments, anyone can do this by creating a post that makes people want to respond. I could write a post tomorrow that says:
"I'm giving away $10,000 to 10 people - like and comment and you might be lucky!" 💰
Of course, this will generate hundreds of thousands of impressions, but here's the problem: I can't make good on this promise. So next time I try something similar, nobody will respond. Even worse, I've completely lost my credibility, and the whole goal of these posts is to gain credibility! 😅
Here's a real example that I experienced myself: I once commented on a lead magnet with genuine enthusiasm and got 4 small paragraphs of ChatGPT-prompted garbage in return. I immediately blocked that person, which is exactly the opposite of what they wanted to achieve.
It's also important to remember that some buyers decide immediately, while others need multiple touchpoints. So don't expect a huge line of people after just one post! However, you can expect people to start lining up after 10 consistent posts IF you're providing real value, not just chasing likes and comments.
Lead magnets don't have to be enormous! As I mentioned, the main goal is providing genuine value. This framework you're reading right now is actually much shorter than my previous ones, but I believe it delivers just as much (if not more) value because it's so easily actionable.
